THE REGISTRY

The door is open.

Admission is by vetting — not by fee.

Now matching in Calgary. The Registry is open across Canada.

WHAT THE REGISTRY IS

The Registry is the confidential matching pool of The Courtship Bureau. Every person in it has been identity-verified and personally interviewed to confirm their readiness and availability to pursue a serious relationship, before admission.

Registry members are eligible for introductions when a strong match arises. They receive invitations to Introductions Evenings — private, vetted gatherings for Registry members only. And when they are ready for a Private Search — a dedicated matchmaker working actively on their behalf — they are already known.

The Registry is not a public profile, a browsable database, or a dating app. No one can search for you. No one can see you. You are in a confidential pool — and the matchmaker brings the right person to you.

For many of our members, a marriage involves two families as much as two people. The Courtship Bureau understands that — and holds the capability to support family introductions when the time is right.

WHAT ADMISSION REQUIRES

Every applicant passes through three gates:

  1. Application — you tell us a little about yourself and what you are looking for.
  2. Identity verification — conducted by a professional screening provider. Your identity is confirmed before anything else proceeds.
  3. Personal interview — a personal interview, where we take the time to understand you and confirm your readiness and availability to pursue a relationship.

Not every applicant is admitted. The Registry exists to serve people who are genuinely ready, and the integrity of that standard is what makes every introduction worth having.

WHAT IT COSTS

In Calgary, your application covers the cost of identity verification and your intake interview — the real work of admission. There is no ongoing Registry fee.

Registry application, Calgary: $150

If you proceed to Private Matchmaking, your Registry fee is credited toward your enrolment.

In cities where we are not yet matching, joining the Registry is simply a way of telling us you are there. There is no fee, and no obligation on either side.

Many of the people who find us have rebuilt everything in a new country — a career, a home, a life — and found that the one thing that does not reassemble itself is the network that would once have helped them find a partner. The Registry was built with those people in mind, among others.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

No. Your name, story, and details are never visible to other members. The Registry is confidential by design. No one can find you. The matchmaker brings introductions to you.
Applicants who cannot be identity-verified, whose availability to pursue a serious relationship cannot be confirmed, who are not genuinely marriage-minded, or who the matchmaker assesses as not yet ready for a serious introduction. The interview is where this is determined — with honesty and care.
Registry members are not introduced automatically. When the matchmaker identifies a strong match — someone genuinely compatible — an introduction is proposed to both parties. It proceeds only if both agree. You are never revealed to another member without your knowledge and consent.
The Registry places you in the confidential pool and makes you eligible for introductions as they arise. Private Search is an active, dedicated service — a matchmaker conducting a deliberate search on your behalf, with a guaranteed minimum number of introductions. Most Private Search clients are already Registry members.

When one careful introduction is worth more to you than a thousand profiles, you are our kind of member.
